My cousin came over last night and helped me record a new version of Ode to Dick Buttons. Hope you like this one better otherwise it was all a loss.

4 days in a row and yesterday, he initiated one of them. Let’s keep it going….

Good potty news . G has gone “tinkle” 3 days in a row now on the potty. A definite improvement. He seems to be motivated by the fact that he gets to pick a video to watch after going (he doesn’t normally get to watch videos). Eventually we’ll have to scale that back but it’s getting the ball rolling I think. That’s all for now.

Let’s see…..G went on the toilet twice yesterday but C asked him rather than G saying it. Still, it’s progress.

Also, it turns out the carpet manufracturer, Shaw industries was jerking us around and the carpet was backordered and wouldn’t get here for another 2 weeks so we cancelled the order and now have to find another carpet we like just as much somewhere else and then wait to get it delivered and installed again…yipes!

In other news, we scheduled a carpet installer for tomorrow but since the carpet is taking about 3 times longer to deliver than M’nards promised, we have to reschedule and cause the installer a lot of pain and wait longer for the basement to be done. Nuts!

We watched a really silly movie last night. Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. I couldn’t figure out why Nicolas Cage’s accent was so bad but a lot of the movie didn’t seem to make sense. Like the portrayal of Cage’s character as the idealistic Italian captain teaching a German captain about coming to the aid of the oppressed. What is that all about? At first I thought it was going to be an interesting movie that gave the Germans more than one dimension but by the end of the movie that didn’t really happen either. Almost, but not quite.

Still having a rough time with G going on the toilet. Just doesn’t seem to want to. We even offered to him to watch a movie and he got excited about that but when the time came to bring his game, he didn’t come to play.

Well, I got a chance to relax last night but things are still pretty hectic. Too much to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to spend some more family time this weekend.

Working with my dad in GB is going pretty good. It seems like a nice place to work and the drive isn’t all that bad. Especially since my dad is driving . It’s been somewhat fun to work with him too.

Interesting thing. We saw a fox last night, running through the city. We tried to chase it but it was really booking.
