Well, who would’ve thought it…

Family

Well, who would’ve thought it could happen. C decided on 48 hours notice to fly to Dallas for 4 days and visit her sister. I’m so proud of her and even though I was a single parent for 4 days, I really enjoyed the time with the boys.

B is really learning a lot of new words and putting a few together now and then. He is also learning to count to three and going on the toilet sometimes! Once again, so proud!

We got to go camping…

Family

We got to go camping over labour day weekend again. It was really only the 2nd or 3rd time this summer that we’ve really gotten to relax and it was very nice.

On sunday I got the opportunity to grill up some pork tenderloin. I marinated it in a soy/sesame sauce for 24 hrs. and grilled it for about an hour. Mmmm…tender and juicy and tasty! Along with the pork I grilled some pineapple in a honey glaze and some onions. So getting outside of the burger and brats mode is a lot of fun. 🙂

Well, sorry so long between…

Family

Well, sorry so long between posts but as you might guess, I haven’t thought of much to say.

We went this week to a family camp which was nice enough and relaxing enough. Some fun we had: G and I got to go sailing and shoot archery and all of us got to go on some hay rides as well. Pictures? Maybe soon.

I guess you could say…

Family

I guess you could say we had some excitement last night. B tried breaking up the driveway with his thinker, which isn’t all that unusual for a boy his age but the scary part was the seizure he had about 30 seconds later. So we took him into the emergency room and it turned out that because he was crying so hard, he ran low on oxygen and had an anoxic seizure, which is benign. Well I bet I wished I had known that before we took him in but I’ll certainly file it away for future reference. So he was back to his normal self within 30 minutes and all was right with the world again. All is well that ends well.
