Observations

I saw something on a FedEx van yesterday that got the gears turning. On the door was written, “No Cash on Board.”

Obviously, this sign is intended to deter thieves, and maybe there isn’t anything inherently wrong with the statement; but what about the underlying attitude? I’m really growing to abhor that attitude. It’s the pacifist attitude that has permeated our culture: Don’t rob the FedEx man because he doesn’t carry cash. Don’t rob the 7-11 clerk because he doesn’t know the combination to the safe. Don’t bomb our trains anymore and we’ll elect the president you want. Don’t kill us and you can hijack our plane.

Instead of “Driver carries no more than $100 cash”, what if the sign said “Driver carries no more than 100 rounds of ammunition”? What if hijackees fought back?
