OK, lots to cover. We vacationed for a week and mostly hung around and relaxt. We spent some time at Bay Beach Amusement park and at the camper and C and I went to a Church Leadership Summit in Chicago.
We won our last softball game (final record 2-13).
I have a new client closer to home (about a 15 min. drive).
B is really growing. He’s noticably gaining weight. And G is fully potty trained so it’s time to head to the theatre! Any good movies in the theatre for 2 year olds?
We won! 14-13 on tuesday. Our first win and I’m glad we got it. I guess it was a matter of time but we had fun and that’s the main thing right?
We also went swimming in Lake Butte Des Morts and watched the storm roll in. Somewhat adventurous.
Taking a few days off work to relax. More to come…
Natr14 called last week. Haven’t seen him in a few years so it will be good to get together.
We spent the weekend at a B+B in Door County. Our room didn’t have a TV or a phone so we concentrated on relaxing and reading, etc. We also went to the drive-in theater on saturday and saw Men in Black II and Mr. Deeds. 1 Sentence Reviews:
– Men in Black II: MIB with less slime, a bunch more gags and a slightly better plot.
– Mr. Deeds: Take the standard Adam Sandler plot – including the Rob Schnieder cameo – make it less “funny” and add a few plot holes.
Ever notice how TV commercials are using rock and pop music more and more these days. The ironic part is how a lot of what they use is music from the 60s and 70s that was supposed to be anti-establishment. The most ironic is one I saw last night with a relatively new song. A commercial for Chevy that used Smashmouth’s “Walking on the Sun”, a rant against the baby boomers who rejected their anti-establishment ideals and sold out to commercialism.
The weekend was good. C and I got to see Jars of Clay and Delirious? in concert. Excellent shows by excellent bands at an outdoor venue, and the weather couldn’t have been better.
Writing for the record is coming along nicely. Again, information will be slowly leaked to string you along until the release date 🙂
Softball: Lost again last night….by one run….again….well, at least we had fun this time.
B has slept all night 2 nights in a row. C and I usually alternate nights getting up to feed him but it seems like he only sleeps through when it’s my night so now we’ve gone to the alternate nights when he actually wakes up instead of just alternate nights. So it’s my night again until he wakes up. I think he’ll stick to it now :-).
Went to Milwaukee Zoo on saturday. Fun time. G walked for about 4 hours. Pretty amazing. Also, he finally got to see the Hippos and the Rhinos (props to Great-Grandma Patrick for the safari set :0).
Heat wave going through. mid-90s yesterday. Same today…
B has been rolling over for a week or so now. Seems to think it’s lots o’ fun 🙂
OK, it’s official now. “We” are going to be making an album. Writing started a while ago but we’re actually going to step on the gas a bit and start churning out some good material since there is something of a deadline coming up. I’ll be sharing more details in the future since I don’t want to give it all away now but to start with…if you liked “Dick Buttons”, you’ll like this record. B has been sleeping really well lately. Until 5am 2 days, then 8am and then 4am. This is good for the parents
